The Michigan Conference United Women in Faith has determined that we need more time to study, evaluate and coordinate new ways forward that the recent reduction to four Michigan Conference UMC Districts has created.

 

The reorganization of Districts in Michigan has created numerous organizational challenges for our volunteers from conference to district to local units.

 

We have appointed a team of leaders who are brainstorming, studying, surveying, evaluating and praying that we can develop a way forward that connects the districts as well as the units within those districts.  It is our plan to transition to four Michigan Districts on January 1, 2028.  We believe that we have the needed time between now and then to develop a solid, courageous, and probably bold plan to move our organization forward into only four districts.

 

Any suggestions, questions or input you have to help us as we go through this challenging process would be very much appreciated.
