Church & Charge Conferences

The annual fall Church Conferences will meet by Connexion Zones. This helps foster opportunities for the everyone in the zone to connect and build relationships with fellow members in your area. 

What is a Connexion Zone?

As you have probably seen by now, 2026 Church Conferences in the Central Shores District are being held by Connexion Zone. But what exactly is a Connexion Zone? The district’s role is to Partner with You to Bring Jesus to People. “Local churches and extension ministries of the Church provide the most significant arenas through which disciple-making occurs” (BoD, P.120).

In addition to the service and resourcing available to you through the district, it will be necessary for clergy, lay leadership, and congregations to support, pray for, worship with, learn from, and do ministry together – to become connectional in relationships and resources. For this reason, the Central Shores District has been grouped into eleven (11) Connexion Zones with discernment given to both geography and established ministry relationships. Affiliated non-profit ministries and extension ministries within a zone are also being invited to participate to further their connection with the area churches, the district, and the conference.
